It is often a good idea to involve us early in the process - structural and civil engineering input can be invaluable at the beginning of a project when it is easy to absorb changes and set out in the right direction.

We can provide initial comments on the feasibility and structural implications of the proposals.

Following the concept design stage, we typically develop an overarching structural strategy and agree the structural principles of the design. At this point, we normally produce sketches and mark-ups for agreement and initial co-ordination with the team.

At detailed design stage, we will produce all general and detailed information (design calculations and drawings) that can be used for Building Warrant Submission, Tender and Construction.

Depending on the size of the project, it is often a good idea to have us involved through the Construction phase - sometimes it can mean a few site visits to check that the structural principles of the design are understood and followed, and sometimes it is enough to just have us on hand to answer any site queries that might come up.
